Dr. Susanne Krüger Kjaer
is a professor in cancer epidemiology with focus on gynecological cancer. She has established a research group working on early detection and prevention by identification of lifestyle, socioeconomic, and genetic risk factors and other biomarkers to improve survival. The main part of the research falls within the molecular biological epidemiology with most of the studies being multidisciplinary. She has established large population-based cohorts with collection of information on lifestyle factors as well as biological samples.
Dr. Kjaer has authored more than 450 scientific papers and her research has contributed with substantial knowledge on the natural history of HPV and cervical neoplasia.
