Fulco van der Veen, MD, PhD
is emeritus professor in Reproductive Medicine at the University of Amsterdam since 2017 and was head of the Center for Reproductive Medicine of the AMC Amsterdam since 1997. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Amsterdam in 1977, received his PhD degree in 1982 and became consultant OBGYN in 1987. His research interests include evaluation research on diverse topics like prediction models in reproductive medicine, preimplantation genetic screening, ectopic pregnancy, male infertility, polycystic ovary syndrome and fertility preservation, and translational research on the Y chromosome and human spermatogonial stemcells. He was co applicant in over 30 research grants. He is author of 400 peer reviewed publications, including top journals like Nature Genetics, NEJM, JAMA, Lancet and supervised 50 PhD students.
