earned her medical degree at the University of Western Ontario, Canada and received her Family Medicine training at McMaster University, Canada. She completed a Women’s Health Scholar Fellowship at the University of Toronto, Canada.
Since 2002 she has been a staff physician at the Mount Sinai Academic Family Health Team where she practices and teaches full-spectrum family medicine including intrapartum care.
Dr. Forte is an assistant professor in the Dept of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto where she is currently serving as the inaugural Maternity Care Lead.
Her areas of academic interest are Medical education and Maternity Care education, with a focus on teacher learner relationships and professional identity formation.
Dr Forte is a co-author on the recently published 2019 -Physical Activity in Pregnancy Guidelines.
