Professor Roberto Marci
received his medical degree in 1991 at Rome University “La Sapienza”. In 1995 he completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and then attended for several years the Unit of Reproductive Medicine and Gynaecological Endocrinology in the Department of Gynaecology-Obstetrics, CHUV, University of Lausanne, Switzerland where he received his PhD degree in 2000. In 2001 he moved to the Unit of Reproductive Medicine and Gynaecological Endocrinology, Department of Gynaecology-Obstetrics, University of L’Aquila, Italy, where he held the position of Assistant Professor. He is currently working as an Associate Professor at Ferrara University where he put in place and directed the Infertility Unit in Arcispedale Sant’Anna Hospital, and introduced a special service for the clinical management of endometriosis. In 2014 he was the Residency Program Director of both Ferrara University Hospital’s residency in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Ferrara University Hospital’s Midwifery School. In 2015 he held the position of Inviting Professor at the University of Geneva (CH) where he contributed to the design and development of the Endometriosis Unit at the University Hospital of Geneva (HUG). Since 2017 he has been a member of the Starring Group for the drafting of WHO Guidelines in the field of Reproductive Medicine. He is an acknowledged reviewer and member of several editorial boards for scientific journals. He was member of the board of national and international societies including Association of Italian University Gynaecologists (AGUI), Mediterranean Society for Reproductive Medicine (MSRM). His main research activity is directed to the study of Reproductive Medicine, Endocrinological Gynaecology and Endometriosis.
