09:00-14:00 PRACTICAL WORKSHOP OF INTRAPARTUM ULTRASOUND Hall
Background Intrapartum complications require a prompt and efficient intervention by the labor ward multiprofessional team. Ultrasound have been recently suggested as a valuable and objective tool which may assist the clinician in the diagnosis and the management of the labor complications and lead eventually to an improved outcome. The main aim of this course is to present the role of ultrasound in the management of abnormal labor providing the labor ward team with all the basic theoretical and practical knowledge which are complimentary to the clinical skills and may optimise the final outcome. This course is performed with the use of a dedicated mannequin which has been developed for the sonographic training in transperineal ultrasound.
