Prof. Zev Williams
Zev Williams, MD, PhD is the Wendy D. Havens Associate Professor of Women’s Health and Chief of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where he directs the Columbia University Fertility Center. In 2026, he was named one of the TIME100 Most Influential People in Healthcare.
Dr. Williams completed his MD and PhD in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, followed by residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology through the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital program at Harvard Medical School . He then completed fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Weill Cornell Medicine and a postdoctoral fellowship in RNA biology in the laboratory of Dr. Thomas Tuschl at Rockefeller University.
A physician-scientist, Dr. Williams’ work focuses on recurrent pregnancy loss, infertility, and ovarian aging. He leads a multidisciplinary research and development team developing novel technologies and therapeutic approaches to preserve and restore fertility and prevent pregnancy loss, including clinical investigations of low-dose rapamycin to slow ovarian aging and the creation of AI-enabled platforms such as the STAR System.
