Tessel Cooijmans , is a novice, enthusiastic researcher at the Maxima MC and recently graduated as a MD. Currently she is participating as a PhD candidate in research projects in benign gynaecology, specifically regarding uterine fibroids, under the supervision of Professor Marlies Bongers. Her current work focuses on the Sonata treatment for uterine fibroids, and its additional value clinically and in terms of cost-effectiveness compared to conventional treatment, a research project in cooperation with the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa).
