Prof. Dr. Berrin Avci graduated from Uludag University, Faculty of Medicine in 1990. She has received her PhD degree in Histology and Embryology from the University of Uludag, Faculty of Medicine in 2003. Over the last two decades, Dr. Avci continued her academic career as a Medical Specialist at Uludag University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Histology and Embryology. She pioneered the establishment of the laboratories of Bursa Uludag University Reproductive Health and Infertility Center in 2010 and she has been working as the director of the laboratory since then. She has an education career in laboratory medicine, having served as the coordinator of the multidisciplinary Reproductive Biology and Clinical Embryology Master’s Program, which includes Histology and Embryology, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Urology and Medical Genetics departments since 2014. In addition, she has been managing the Ministry of Health’s Assisted Reproductive Techniques Laboratory Practices Certificate Program in Uludag University since 2016. Her primary interests include “Reproductive Biology”, “Infertility”, “Assisted Reproductive Techniques” and “Fertility Preservation”. She is board member of Turkish Society of Reproductive Medicine (TSRM) since 2016.
