Cem S. Atabekoğlu
He was born in Ankara on February 03, 1971. He completed his undergraduate education in Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1994. Between 1994-1999, he completed his specialty training in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the same university and worked as a specialist at the same institution from 2000 to 2006. Also during this period, he served as a lecturer at Ankara University Cebeci Health College. At post doctorate period, he also visited Yale University in America with the support of the Turkish German Gynecology Association in 2005. He carried out studies with Dr. Aydın Arıcı for 6 months especially focusing on the pathophysiology of endometriosis and reproductive medicine.
He received the title of Associate Professor in 2006. Cem Atabekoğlu was awarded the title of Professor in 2011. He served as a head of Ankara University Obstetrics and Gynecology Department between April 2012-April 2018. His special interest is reproductive medicine and endoscopic surgery. Cem Atabekoğlu has over 150 articles, 100 of which are international, most of them are related to these issues, he is an author of sections in both international and national books. He has been a board member of the TSRM (Turkish Reproductive Health Association) since 2016.
