
David Monk is currently Professor of Developmental Epigenetics at the University of East Anglia, Norwich Research Park, UK. He obtained his PhD at Imperial College London, before completing several post-doc positions at Imperial and University College London. He received a Ramon y Cajal Career Development fellowship to establish his own laboratory at the Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute in Barcelona. His current studies focus on the application of high-throughput genome technologies to analyse the interplay between epigenetic and genetic variations, assessing epigenetic mosaicism and understand the role of maternal nutrition in shaping the embryonic epigenome and influencing placenta-associated traits.
