Manon Oud works as a Clinical Laboratory Geneticist in training at the department of Human Genetics at the Radboudumc, the Netherlands (March 2020-present). She obtained her PhD in genetics of male infertility in the Genomic Disorders group of Prof. Veltman at the Radboudumc in which she applied state-of-the-art sequencing techniques to study the genetic causes of male infertility. During her PhD, she visited the group of Prof. O’Bryan at Monash University in Australia for three months, to characterize the role of novel candidate genes for male infertility. Currently she is focusing on the implementation of a new diagnostic genetic test for patients with male infertility. Her work has led to multiple publications and prizes. Furthermore, she has been a board member for the Network for Young Researchers in Andrology (NYRA) since 2018.
