Shalimar Shadeed re-joined Elsevier in 2021 as Expert in Publishing Ethics. Shalimar worked in the publishing industry for 11 years and held various publishing roles. She had active role in managing a portfolio of journals within Europe, Middle East & Africa; and was very active in presenting at outreach events and championing projects to improve publishing processes. In 2017, Shalimar took strategic responsibility for the larger regional portfolio and guided third-party owners in implementing publishing best practices, including the introduction of new ethical standards such as CRediT authorship statements. Shalimar has acted as a Senior Publisher at Atlantis Press (acquired by Springer Nature) from 2018- June 2021, managing a large journal portfolio, supporting business development activities and driving the implementation of publishing ethics best practice and policies.
