Tina Buchholz M.D.
Tina Buchholz is a clinical specialist in Reproductive Genetics. During her training, she specialized in Human Genetics and in Gynecology and Obstetrics and Reproductive Medicine and became an associated Professor at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, Germany. She is head of a private Centre for Reproductive Genetics in Munich. Her genuin interests are identifying as well as facilitating solutions for genetic conditions in human reproduction as well as supporting global access to fertility care.
She is the former President of the German Society of Reproductive Medicine. Dr. Buchholz represented this society for many years on the board of the International Federation of Fertility Societies (IFFS), prior to serving as Scientific Director of the IFFS. Recently she has been appointed as Director for Development and most recently as the Audit Chair of the IFFS. Further to this she was elected as a member of the International Academy of Human Reproduction. With regard to her interdisciplinary expertise, she is the editor for Genetics for the Journal of Reproductive Medicine and Endocrinology as well as for the Journal Global Reproductive Health.
Dr. Buchholz published numerous peer reviewed articles, proceedings and book chapters. Predominently she presented her scientific work as an invited speaker many times at international reproductive and genetic conferences. She has been involved in the scientific and local organization of many international congresses, such as the various World Congresses of IFFS in Munich 2010, Boston 2013, New Delhi 2016 and Shanghai 2019, the ESHRE congress in Munich 2014, the World Congress of the International Academy of Human Reproduction in Berlin in 2015, in Rome 2017 and Dublin 2019, as well as numerous education training programs and workshops in various regions of the world (Argentina, Panama, Malaysia, Japan, Philippines, Myanmar, Russia, Uganda, Nigeria and Ghana) in the field of infertility awareness, global access to fertility care and reproductive medicine.
